McFarlane has come a long way since it's inception in 1945, when W.J. McFarlane purchased a millwork business after World War ll. By the time he retired and sold the business to his son John in the 1960's, it had flourished into much more than cabinet manufacturing. John expanded McFarlane's into the realm of store fixtures and interior contracting. When he retired in 1992, the third generation of McFarlanes took the reins.

In order to meet demand from their customers to manage Calgary projects, an office was set up in 1999 to service the Calgary marketplace. In time, McFarlane added a Construction Division to the business - an addition that now sees projects that range in value from $500,000 to $4 million.

"There's a lot to be proud of," says Bruce McFarlane, president of McFarlane Group Ltd., who is the third-generation owner of the company. "We have had a lot of growth, and with present market conditions, further expansion is planned".

McFarlane Construction & Interior Contracting is one of the most trusted names in the commercial contracting industry, and their family and business name has come to mean quality, value, and integrity. The company has a lot to celebrate as it enters its 60th year in 2005.
